I took a Java class in summer 2014, and I have been programming for fun since 2006. In addition, I have tutored several students taking Java classes.

I’ve used IBM mainframes to view datasets such as JCLs and VSAM files and to run unit tests.

Microsoft Office
I’m proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project.

Microsoft Windows
I’ve performed installation, troubleshooting, and configuration in every major version of Windows from 3.1 to 10.

Multimedia editing
I’m comfortable using tools such as Paint.NET, GIMP, Photoshop, and Audacity.

Network configuration and design
I understand the fundamentals of how computer networks operate and how to follow best practices relating to information security, and I can configure existing network equipment and design basic networks.

Spanish
I can read intermediate-level Spanish and write and speak basic Spanish.

SQL and database design
I use SQL to run queries on various databases to support content changes and troubleshoot errors. I’ve taken classes in SQL Server and Database Design, and I have previous work experience designing databases and loading data into them.

Tutoring
I have experience helping college students with a diverse range of accessibility needs learn complex concepts in a variety of subjects.

Typing
I can type accurately at over 100 WPM.

Virtualization
I’m comfortable using both VMWare and VirtualBox. I’ve installed various VMs, including Windows XP and Linux Mint, on my Windows 10 laptop.

Web development
I’m comfortable using HTML, CSS, and basic PHP and JavaScript, and I have a firm understanding of Web design best practices.

I have an eye for detail and exceptional written communication skills.
